Getting Started with Fliki

After signing up for Fliki, you'll be directed to the Studio section where you can create your audio content. You can easily switch between the Studio and Account tabs.

In the Studio section, you'll find various options to choose from when creating your audio content.

Languages

Fliki supports more than 75 languages:

How can I change or select a language?

To change the language, click on the voice name in the section. The default voice is usually "Sara". This will open a popup for Voice selection.

From there, use the dropdown menu labeled "Language" to choose your preferred language.

Dialect

Fliki supports more than 100 different dialects/ accents it supports multiple Region-Language combinations like:

To change or select a dialect, follow these steps:

1. Click on the voice name in the section.

2. This will bring up a popup called "Voice selection".

3. Use the "Dialect" dropdown to choose your preferred dialect based on the language you have selected.

Gender

Fliki supports male, female, and child voices.

To filter voices by gender, follow these steps:

1. Click on the voice name in the section.

2. This will bring up a Voice selection popup.

3. Use the Gender dropdown to select and filter out voices based on their gender.

Voices

Fliki can generate over 800 different voices.

How can I change or select a voice?

To change or select a voice, simply click on the name of the desired voice in the section. This will bring up a popup for Voice selection. You can also listen to sample audio from each voice by clicking on the speaker icon 🔉. Once you have found your preferred voice, click on it to select it for that particular section.

Voice Styles

Voice Styles allow you to convey various emotions, such as anger, cheerfulness, hopefulness, and more. Simply select the desired voice style from those available.

Voices that support voice styles are marked with a ⚡️ icon.

Editor

This is the place where you can enter your text and receive a high-quality audio output - it's where the magic happens.

Audio only file

A script is a document where you input several paragraphs of text and transform them into an audio recording.

How to create voiceover using AI voices - Fliki

To create an audio-only file, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Studio tab.

2. Select "Files" from the left-hand menu.

3. Click "+ New file".

4. Enter a name for your script and choose "Audio only" in the pop-up window, then click "Create".

5. Choose your desired voice by clicking on the default voice name "Sara".

6. Write, paste or import your script from a URL into the designated section.

7. To listen to a specific section of your script, hover your mouse over that section and click on the play button that appears on its right side.

How can I create a template or duplicate a file?

Sometimes, you may need to create a brand template that includes specific font styles, colors, voice, and intro/outro content. To do this:

1. Create your template file with all of your standard content.

2. Navigate to the folder where your template file is located.

3. Click on the More icon (three dots) located on the right side of the list item.

4. Select Duplicate to make a copy of your current file in the same folder.

5. Rename the copied file and begin editing it.

Section

A section is a paragraph in the script that can have multiple voices.

To add a new section or paragraph, follow these steps:

1. Click on the "+" (add) button located below the last script.

2. To add a section between two existing sections, click on the "+" button that appears between them.

3. Alternatively, you can easily add a new section by pressing the "Enter" key while your cursor is placed within an existing section.

How can I remove a section/ paragraph?

To remove a section, click the three-dot menu on the right side of the section and select "Delete." Confirm your choice to delete the section.

Emphasize

To emphasize specific words, highlight the text and choose the "Emphasize" option. To remove emphasis, select the same text again and click "Emphasize" twice. Please note that not all voices support this feature, so the emphasize button may not be visible for some voices.

Pauses

To add pauses between words, highlight the space in between text and click "Add Pause." Enter the desired duration of the pause in seconds. To remove a pause, simply use the backspace or delete key.

Pitch and Rate

To adjust the pitch and rate of the resulting audio, select the desired text and choose "Tune" from the floating menu. Then select either "Pitch" or "Rate," which will bring up options such as X-Low, Low, Medium, Fast, and X-Fast. Choose your preferred configuration and play back the section to hear how it sounds.

Pronunciation

Before converting an entire section, listen to the pronunciation of a word.

To do so, select the specific text you want to hear pronounced and then choose the "Pronounce" option.

Note: We charge credits for each word you check for pronunciation because it is processed every time by the text-to-speech engine.

Pronunciation Map

Fliki offers a pronunciation map and dictionary for each script level. Users can conveniently add custom pronunciation mapping for names and acronyms by clicking on the three dots located at the top right corner of the screen and selecting the 'Pronunciation Map' option.

Fliki allows you to import content directly from your blog by following these steps:

1. Navigate to the file where you want to import the content.

2. Click on "Import" and select "Import from Blog".

3. Enter the URL of your desired blog article.

4. Click "Submit".

Video Settings:

Customize your video with the following options:

- Square: 1080 × 1080 (for Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn)

- Portrait: 1080 × 1920 (for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts)

- Landscape: 1920 × 1080 (for YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn)

Note: Please ensure that the images or videos you provide are also in the same size as the video to fit properly.

Other settings include:

- Enable fade effect between sections for a smooth transition.

- Enable zoom effect for images to add a pan effect while playing.

- Add subtitles within the video. You can choose from four different font sizes and place them on top, center or bottom of the screen. There are over twenty-four fonts available; if using characters other than English please select Noto Sans font.

- Choose subtitle display type - Word displays one word at a time; Phrase shows up to three or four words at once; Sequence adds words as they are spoken on-screen; Full displays all text entered in one section.

Note: If you encounter issues where text is not showing up correctly, please choose "Full" option as Subtitle display. You can also improve this by using "Sub Section" to break down large text.

Step 1: Configure Your Video

To begin, select "Files" from the left panel and click on the "+ New file" button. Then, enter your desired file name and choose the "Video" option.

Step 2: Select Voice, Add Script, and Images

To get started, choose your preferred voice by clicking on the default option "Sara". Then simply type or paste your script into the designated area. You can also import it from a URL.

Next, click on the thumbnail image to edit the visuals for that section. You have two options here: upload your own image or clip (up to 32MB in size), or browse our extensive library of over 6 million stock images and clips.

If you're still unable to find what you need, try using our AI Art feature to create a custom image based on your description.

Step 3: Configure Subtitles and Add Background Music

To configure the video format, subtitle font, size, placement, and color, click on "File Settings." To add background music to your video, click on "More" and then select "Background Music." You can choose from our library of over 10,000 copyright-free songs or upload your own custom audio file. Adjust the volume of the background music as desired before hitting "Save."

Preview your video by clicking on the Play button in the main player at the bottom. Once you are satisfied with the output, hit Export to create a high-resolution video. This process may take some time; we will notify you via email when it is complete and ready for download.

Choose the recently created audiobook from the list, then click on "+ New Chapter". Enter the chapter title and save it.

Step 3 - Add chapter content

Choose the newly created chapter from the list. Pick a narrator voice from your preferred language and dialect. Then, write or paste your content in the designated section.

Click the 'play' button to begin producing your audio file, then sit back and listen to your newly created audiobook.

3. Use a high-quality microphone for best results.

4. After giving consent to record, feel free to improvise with words that you commonly use in your voiceovers.

5. If you want other Fliki users to be able to use your voice, check the "Make public" option.

6. Keep in mind that AI-generated voices cannot be edited for rate, pitch, pauses or emphasis.

7. This technology is most effective at generating American English voices due to its training on a large dataset of American English speakers.

8. Once submitted, it may take up to 6 hours for approval before you can start using your new voice clone.

9. Note that cloned voices consume twice as many credits as original recordings - one minute of audio will deduct two minutes of credits from your account.
