According to Zhang Yong, Alibaba Cloud's model-as-a-service includes API services, basic large-scale models/generic large-scale models, enterprise-specific large-scale models, and magic building communities. Platform-as-a-service includes model development, model reasoning and deployment, model training, and big data platform, etc.; infrastructure as a service includes Lingjun Intelligent Computing Cluster, Elastic Computing ECS Cluster, etc. "Through this three-tier architecture, Alibaba Cloud can fully embrace the era of intelligence."
At the same time, he emphasized that whether it is the current era of digital intelligence or the era of intelligence in the future, the basic goals and values pursued by Alibaba Cloud can be summarized in two sentences: make computing power more inclusive, and make AI more popular.
In terms of computing power and benefits, Alibaba Cloud has covered 10 million developers, and compared with ten years ago, the current unit computing power cost has dropped by 80%, and the storage cost has dropped by 90%. In terms of AI popularization, Alibaba Cloud is committed to making basic large-scale models. The core is to support developers in various industries, so that models belonging to various industries and enterprises can do better and have lower thresholds. This includes not only Alibaba’s Tongyi Thousand Questions , also includes large models of cooperation between Ali and other enterprises and universities.
It is reported that Alibaba Cloud announced on April 7 that the Alibaba version of GPT was officially announced as an internal test, and its self-developed large model "Tongyi Qianwen" began to invite users to test the experience. At that time, Alibaba Cloud stated that the model had not yet been officially released, and it mainly invited corporate users to conduct experience tests. Users can apply through the official website, and qualified users can participate in the experience.
According to the reporter's actual measurement, Tongyi Qianwen can only provide text generation function at present, and cannot understand and process audio and video for the time being. In terms of natural language processing, Chinese-English dialogue, etc., the performance of Tongyi Qianwen is acceptable, but it is still lacking in the understanding of some Internet hot words and new concepts.
