Kingsoft Office WPS AI will embed large models into forms, text, presentations, and PDFs, which can be used on mobile phones and computers

Kingsoft Office WPS AI was officially released on April 18. It was first applied to the online content collaborative editing tool "Light Document", and will be gradually embedded in all Kingsoft Office products.

Kingsoft Office announced today that WPS AI will embed large model (LLM) capabilities into four major components: forms, text, presentations, and PDFs, supporting desktop computers and mobile devices.

According to reports, after the overseas version of WPS Form is equipped with WPS AI, users can directly ask questions to WPS Form to get the results, including advanced functions such as formulas, conditional formatting, and pivot charts.

The overseas version of WPS Form will also support the automatic generation of formulas. Some formulas contain complex functional relationships. With the support of WPS AI, you only need to tell WPS Form the desired calculation results, and the formula will be automatically generated.

After WPS text is equipped with WPS AI, it will support the automatic generation of voice command content, such as "the content of this note is too small, please expand it".

WPS text will also support focus, which can help users quickly find the key information of the article.

After the WPS presentation (that is, PPT) is equipped with WPS AI, it will support automatic content generation, and also support "fine-tuning" functions such as single-page generation, expansion and rewriting, and automatic generation of speech notes.

After WPS PDF is equipped with WPS AI, it will support direct understanding of PDF content, realize summarization, outline generation, content question and answer, problem traceability, translation, etc.

Kingsoft Office stated that WPS AI is actively promoting compliance work, and the launch time is subject to the official release. WPS AI is the product code name, and the final naming is subject to the official release.

According to previous reports, WPS AI is expected to be launched as a new benefit of WPS super members. Judging from the information released by WPS AI, this function seems to have the same effect as Microsoft's "Microsoft 365 Copilot".
