OpenAI has reopened ChatGPT Plus subscriptions
After being suspended for nearly a month, OpenAI has reopened new user registrations for the ChatGPT Plus paid subscription service.
In mid-November this year, due to huge demand, OpenAI decided to suspend new user registrations for the ChatGPT Plus paid subscription service to ensure that existing users have a high-quality experience. At the time, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said the company was "working hard" to increase its capacity and hoped to resume new user signups "soon." In the meantime, he encouraged interested users to join the waiting list.
According to foreign media reports, the impact of the suspension of new user registrations for ChatGPT Plus is very obvious. On auction sites such as eBay, the number of so-called ChatGPT Plus accounts has increased. Almost a month after the suspension, OpenAI began sending emails to people on the ChatGPT Plus waitlist inviting them to join ChatGPT Plus, suggesting that the service would be restored in phases.
In the invitation email, the company said: “With ChatGPT Plus, you get our strongest model, GPT-4, and the ability to create and use GPTs, as well as access to DALL-E, Browsing, Advanced Data Analysis (Advanced Data Analysis) and other tools."
