Welcome to Tomorrow Hometown, a Chinese city data query tool. It aims to provide decision-making reference for Chinese youth who want to escape from super-large cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen by establishing a Chinese version of the Nomad List (digital nomad database). The project will start public testing in June 2023.
Here, you can search for your ideal place to live through complex screening—such as cities with more than 90 sunny days throughout the year and summer temperatures that do not exceed 30 degrees. Or it is a city where the income of urban residents exceeds 60,000 and the resident population is less than 100,000. There are even Starbucks, McDonald's, less than 60 rainy days throughout the year, and the highest temperature is less than 30 degrees in the county.

Please do not scrape data in any form. The dataset used on this site will be available for free from October 2023.

As of June 25, 2023, the project has included 2,206 county-level administrative regions (county towns, county-level cities, excluding urban areas) + city-level administrative regions in mainland China, and currently includes 29 dimensions for each county and city that can be used for screening. However, it should be noted that not all data in each dimension are complete.
